Connect and control different agricultural equipment with a single terminal

ISOBUS is standardised international communication protocol that refers to the ISO 11783 standard.

The protocol allows different agricultural equipment and tools to communicate with one another via a single common language.

An ISOBUS system allows the operator to connect and control different equipment using a single graphic terminal for management of all compatible agricultural ISOBUS tools. This graphics terminal is called the Virtual Terminal (VT).

Functionality

The ISOBUS system provides some functionalities that integrate the system with the possibility of managing particular operations, such as the Task Controller (TC) that allows processing in relation to the position of the machines in the field by integrating with the GPS. It also allows the management of DDI (Data Dictionary Identifier), the process parameters that ISOBUS regulates. The DDIs managed are:

  • DDI 119: Effective Total Time, the actual time in which the machine is working
  • DDI 120: Ineffective Total Time, the actual time when the machine is not working
  • DDI 141: Actual Work State, the working state of the machine if off or on
  • DDI 117: Effective Total Distance, the actual distance in the working state
  • DDI 116: Total Area (for tool with working width), the total area accumulated
  • DDI 67: Actual Working Width (in case of tool with working width), the value of the working width of the machine

  • What happens if my machinery is already equipped with Isobus?
    I can integrate all Oscar Electronics systems.
  • What happens if my machinery is not equipped with Isobus?
    I can buy the terminal directly from Oscar Electronics, and then proceed with integration of the different systems.
